Aged Care Facilities
I offer joyful and accessible yoga classes in residential and community aged care settings. Research continues to show the wide-ranging benefits of regular yoga in older demographics, ranging from improved balance and stability – reducing falls risk, maintenance of bone density and creating new neural pathways in the brain.
Classes may be chair- or mat-based and include simple movements, breathwork, and relaxation, tailored to residents’ abilities on the day. The use of props (eg. blocks and straps) may be used to make the postures more accessible and enjoyable.
